Воут Ван Боммель (Wout van Bommel), M. Sc., профессор. Имеет 50-летний опыт работы в области светотехники. На протяжении 35 лет работал на разных должностях в компании Philips Lightin, проводя исследования во многих областях светотехники. Результаты ряда его исследований легли в основу концепций, применяемых в настоящее время в международных стандартах в области освещения. В 2003–2007 гг. был президентом МКО. Был председателем, а сейчас является почётным членом правления голландского «Фонда исследований в области освещения и здоровья». В 2019 г. стал первым лауреатом премии голландского светотехнического общества, названной в его честь «Премией Воута ван Боммеля». В 2004 г. был назначен профессором-консультантом Университета Фудан, Шанхай. В настоящее время выступает в качестве независимого консультанта по светотехнике для проектировщиков освещения, исследователей, компаний, муниципалитетов и правительственных учреждений

Аннотация
Чтобы предотвратить разочарование в осветительных установках со светодиодами (СД), необходимо досконально знать типичные характеристики самых разных твердотельных источников света, и хорошо известные сведения о зрении и цвете следует при этом совместить с результатами новых фундаментальных исследований взаимосвязей между освещением с одной стороны и зрением, работоспособностью, комфортом и здоровьем людей и биологическим воздействием света на человека с другой стороны. Это воздействие влияет на «работу» нашего тела и тем самым на наше здоровье, самочувствие и бодрость.
Современные установки внутреннего освещения следует проектировать таким образом, чтобы они обеспечивали одновременно и зрительное восприятие, и благотворное невизуальное биологическое воздействие, и при этом исключали неблагоприятные особенности освещения, такие как пульсации, опасность синего света и нарушение биоритмов.
СД можно использовать не только для освещения, но и для передачи данных. Использование СД освещения для передачи данных называют «свет не только для освещения». Передача данных видимым светом (VLC), Li-Fi и свет, который используется в качестве датчика, также относятся к обсуждаемой теме. Современные светотехники должны ориентироваться в этих новых технологиях и областях применения.
Автор настоящей статьи опубликовал в 2019 г. книгу «Внутреннее освещение: основы, технические средства и применение» [1]. На её 500 страницах обсуждаются все вопросы, имеющие важное значение для современных специалистов в области внутреннего освещения. Данная обзорная статья основана именно на этой книге и повторяет её разделение на главы. В каждом из разделов статьи в качестве примера приводится более подробное описание одного-двух важных моментов.
