The article discusses the new technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union: “On the Requirements for the Energy Efficiency of Energy-consuming Devices” (TR EEU048/2019) and “On the Limitation of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Radio Electronics” (TR EEU037/2016), which establish uniform requirements for energy-consuming and containing regulated (hazardous) substances of products, including products for lighting. It is shown that the compliance of lighting products with existing and newly introduced technical regulations during its manufacture and the implementation of conformity assessment procedures will protect the Eurasian market from low-quality, unsafe and energy-inefficient products. 1.
