Abstract:
The visual performance faces greater challenges in complex lighting environments. Based on the influence of visibility and visual comfort on visual performance, this research integrates individual emotional characteristics in complex lighting environments, dividing subjective emotions into two dimensions: emotion valence and emotion arousal. To explore the impact of overall visual perception and emotional perception on the overall visual cognitive ability and their logical connections, a structural equation model was introduced for validation. Statistical results show a significant positive correlation between visibility assessment indicators and visual performance, a significant negative correlation between visual discomfort and visual performance. Simultaneously, emotion valencedemonstrates a significant mediating effect in the process of visual tasks. The research outcomes provide a theoretical basis for setting optical indicators in complex lighting environments and highlight the importance of attention to individuals’ emotions in complex lighting environments and their potential impact on visual performance.
