Abstract:
In the design of lighting for sports venues in urban areas, it is essential to evaluate the energy efficiency of lighting systems and consider the potential for light pollution in the surrounding environment. This study tested a novel method for assessing the energy efficiency and light pollution of sports lighting systems, comparing the performance of an existing stadium lighting control system with an alternative design featuring innovative "ULTIMATUM" floodlights. Based on the results, obtained for the given application conditions, this study demonstrates the viability of using improved optical systems in floodlights for sports venues.
