Abstract:
If every building, living space, and surroundings are considered a project, the lighting elements should be chosen according to the architectural style, texture, and culture. The preference for imitation design in both historical works and newly developed housing-villa projects does not provide the aesthetic effect expected from architecture. Not being able to develop a product specific to the building and its surroundings cause mediocrity in architecture. Illumination of the environment without considering the needs of people and other living things harms the ecosystem and human health. Due to all these negativities, the implementation of the lighting master plan in architecture has become necessary for today’s sustainable cities. In this study, the implementation stages of the lighting master plan for an exemplary sustainable city were analysed and what should be done for possible scenarios was evaluated.
