Dmitry M. Melodinskiy, Ph.D. in Architecture, Ph.D. in Art History, Professor of the chair of “Fundamentals of architectural planning” at Moscow Institute of Architecture, State academy, MARKHI. He graduated from Moscow Architectural Institute in 1952. Also, he is the advisor to the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, full member of the Academy of Architectural Heritage, full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, honorary worker of higher professional education of the Russian Federation. His research interests include history and theory of architecture, higher architectural education

Marianna M. Dadasheva, Ph.D. in Architecture, Associate Professor of the chair of “Fundamentals of architectural planning”, Moscow Institute of Architecture, State academy (MARKHI), architect. She finished the postgraduate degree program at Moscow Institute of Arghitecture, State Academy, MARKHI in 2014, author of more than 50 publications, devoted to the development of the theory of architectural composition. Her research interests include contemporary architecture, composition theory, neo-avantgarde, postmodernism, deconstructivism, non-linear architecture, architectural illumination, artistic language of architecture

Siuzanna M. Dadasheva, Master of science in Architecture. At present, she is a teacher of the Department of “Fundamentals of architectural planning” at MARKHI, architect, laureate of the architectural festival “Zodchestvo” 2020 year. Her research interests include contemporary architecture, composition theory, neo-avant-garde, postmodernism, deconstructivism, non-linear architecture, architectural illumination, artistic language of architecture

Abstract:
In connection with the formation of a new architectural and artistic direction, which decides to create a spatial environment in the conditions of artificial illumination in the dark, there are problems of its showing in the scientific and educational sphere. The article examines the innovative initiatives of the Moscow Architectural Institute to introduce into the educational process the content of light architecture, drawn from the main scientific, theoretical, and practical achievements in this area.
