Kerim Uzun received B. Sc. Degree in electrical-electronics engineering from Istanbul University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2017. His current research interests are preparing lighting installation projects for special architectural design buildings and high voltage applications

Ahmet Gedikli received the B. Sc. Degree in electrical-electronics engineering from the Istanbul University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2017. His current research interests are preparing lighting installation projects for special architectural design buildings and high voltage applications

Aysel Ersoy Yilmaz received the M. Sc. and Ph.D. Degrees in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Istanbul University, in 2003 and 2007 respectively. She studied as a post doctorate researcher at Kettering University in USA between 2008 and 2009. Currently she is working as an Assistant Professor in the Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department of Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa. Her main research interests are tracking in polymeric dielectric materials, power systems protection, lighting and indoor installation

Mukden Ugur received an M.Sc. Degree from UMIST in 1993 and obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 1997 from University of Manchester, UK. From 1995 to 1996 he worked for the National Grid Company as a research assistant at the University of Manchester in the subject of analysing the breakdown process in transformer boards. Currently he is working as a Professor in the Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department of Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa. His main research interests are tracking in polymeric dielectric materials, power systems protection, fractal modelling and statistical evaluation of breakdown.

Abstract:
Lighting is one of the basic aspects that eases our lives and increases its quality. We use lighting tools in many places such as homes, streets, work places, hospitals, factories, etc. In this study, the effects of the light source and the surface of the object on features like colour temperature, glare, colour (perceived) and dominant wavelength is analysed. Four light sources such as a warm white halogen lamp, warm white LED source and two cool white LED sources were used. In the light measurements, 10 paper surfaces and 8 cloth surfaces were selected as the surface type. Colours of the surfaces were selected among the main colours on the colour locus. Light, reflected from surface was recorded with Konica Minolta CS-200 model. All results were indicated and compared with each other.
