In this article is being solving а problem of cost optimization in the construction of highways and road lighting. The construction of highways over the past two or three years and planned for construction are analysed. The method for solving the issue of optimization – the development of a new luminaire, which allows to reduce capital and operating costs in the construction of outdoor road lighting. The optics of the luminaire is chosen as the main element for solving the problem. The need to optimize costs in the construction of highways is of high relevance due to the constantly growing volume of construction of outdoor road lighting. 1.
